“Share nearby” is an Android feature similar to AirDrop on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. You do not have to be on the same network to exchange contact information or send someone. They need to be physically close.

The Google Play Store includes close share functionality to send people apps and games. This method is suitable because it sends the original file over and done with the App Store, which means that the receiver can quickly install it without downloading it manually.

First, pick “My Applications and Games” from the menu.
Go to my apps and games.
On the “Updates” tab on the My Applications and Games page. Turn to the “Sharing” page.
