But website notification popups can ruin your browsing experience. And clutter up your notifications. Here’s how to prevent website notifications from popping up in Microsoft Edge.

Microsoft Edge for Desktop (Windows 10 and Mac) and Android both have built-in notification systems for websites (not available on iPhone and iPad).

You can disable notifications from a particular website, or you can disable the website notification system yourself. This will ensure that you do not encounter annoying notification popups.
The steps to do so are quite different on Android and desktop apps. We will cover both platforms below.

Microsoft Edge allows it possible for you to subscribe to website updates. Many websites will automatically show a notification request pop-up, and all you have to do is hit the “Allow” button (which is easy to do by accident).
You can disable these notifications or turn off popups from the browser settings menu itself. Open the Microsoft Edge app on Android and tap the 3d menu button from the toolbar below. Here, select the “Settings” button.
Tap on the “Site Permissions” option.
Select the “Notifications” option.
You can also see a list of all the websites that will give you updates. Select the specific website for which you want to disable notifications.
Tap on the “Clear and Reset” option.
This clears the default settings for notifications and website cache. To confirm, tap the “Clear and Reset” button from the popup.

The website will now disappear from the Information section. You can repeat this process for other websites listed.
If you want a tip option to disable all website notifications and stop the notification request from popping up, tap the toggle with the “Notifications” option.

Disabling website notifications and notification request popups in the desktop app is different. Open the Microsoft Edge browser on your Windows 10 PC or Mac and click on the 3 dot menu icon in the top right corner.

Select the “Settings” option.

Pick the “Cookies and Web Permissions” section from the sidebar. From the Permission section of the site, click on the “Notifications” option.
From the “Allow” portion, you’ll see a list of websites that are currently sending you updates. To prevent a website from sending you notifications, click the three-dot menu button next to a website name and select “Remove.”
Repeat this process to block other websites.
